The collaboration with Ecole Des Mines d’Albi-Carmaux began in 2008 with participation at WasteEng in Patras, Greece. The activities have continued to develop with the co-organization of the 2010 WasteEng meeting in Beijing, China and the 2012 WasteEng meeting in Porto, Portugal. Years alternate to WasteEng, special topical sessions have been co-organized by CCL, EDM, and Waste-to-Energy Research and Technology Council (WTERT). In 2009 there was a one day session at the American Chemical Society(ACS) meeting, and in 2011 there was a two day topical within the American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ (AICHE) spring conference. There has also been active participation from EDM at the bi-annual WTERT meetings held at Columbia University.
